New Features in QuickBooks Integrator Version 5.0

A comprehensive suite of Internet-enabled components for QuickBooks (QBXML) Integration. QuickBooks Integrator includes easy-to-use components for accessing QuickBooks constructs and automating accounting tasks.

With this release we have worked very hard to provide design features that greatly simplify development, requiring far less code and increasing overall maintainability.  We have also enhanced the underlying communication of the QuickBooks Integrator components with support for QBXML V8.0. This unified framework provides a consolidated interface for accessing every version of QuickBooks including  U.S., UK, Canada, Australia, etc.

Collections are another powerful addition to the new QuickBooks Integrator, and have been enabled across the entire suite of components. These collections can be used to populate the QuickBooks Integrator components before calling methods, and will be populated with results after calling a method or performing some action. While in many situations collections provide an easier way to access component features, the QuickBooks Integrator event model has been maintained and is still an integral part of the overall product architecture enabling better responsiveness and fine grained control when required.

New Components

  • BillPayment - Provides the functionality similar to the Pay Bills form in the QuickBooks.
  • ItemReceipt - Add and edit an item receipt transactions.
  • LineItemGroups - Generates a group aggregate for use in another component's Update request.
  • StatementCharge - Add and modify individual charges on a customer's statement.

New Features

  • Support for QBXML V8.0

  • Improved ObjSearch component with support for new record queries.
  • Support for ReceivePayments updates.
  • Support for FixedAsset items through the Item components.

Installing this version of the QuickBooks Integrator will not affect existing applications that use previous versions; the components are independent of older versions. This will allow you to thoroughly evaluate and compare the new features of the package, while still using the previous versions for other software.
