In addition to the merge of the FedEx, UPS, and USPS products into a single component suite, the Shipping Integrator includes additional shipping integration, including:

• Postage generation via Endicia services.
• Enhanced FedEx capabilities including courier pickup functionality (PickupAvailability, SchedulePickup, and CancelPickup).
• New 'Ez' components combine the major capabilities of the various shippers into single interfaces, simplifying access to multiple carriers within an application.
• Enterprise features like IPv6 addressing and support for 64-bit architectures.
• Component interfaces have been enhanced with native streams and collections for the platform technologies which support them.

Upgrading to Shipping Integrator V4

Upgrading from the FedEx, UPS, USPS Integrators is straightforward however the components interfaces have changed somewhat to accommodate a more uniform development interface across shipping platforms.

For most shipping solutions, developers can migrate to the new Ez shipping components. These components provide a single interface for communicating with all supported shipping platforms. For some carrier specific connectivity, the new Shipping Integrator provides individual components.
