devSoft Inc. announces the release of two new editions of its popular IPWorks package.
A TCP/IP developer
Research Triangle Park, NC - September 15, 1997 - devSoft Inc. announces the release of two new editions of its popular IPWorks package, a TCP/IP developer's toolkit for MS Windows, Windows 95, and Windows NT. The toolkit enables developers to build a wide range of Intranet and Internet applications using popular development environments such as Visual Basic, Visual C++, Borland Delphi, Borland C++ Builder, and others.
The two new editions, IPWorks C++ Edition and IP*Works C++ Builder Edition target the C++ market. IPWorks C++ Edition consists of a set of C++ classes for TCP/IP programming packaged in a DLL. IPWorks C++ Builder Edition contains native Borland C++ Builder VCLs for visual programming using the Borland C++ Builder IDE.
These two releases position IPWorks as a premier TCP/IP programming toolkit, providing native components for more development environments than any other competing products in the industry. IPWorks C++ Edition and IPWorks C++ Builder Edition are based on the same core C++ code as other IPWorks Editions, which have been in the market for more than two years, and have been extensively tested, debugged, and improved over time.
IPWorks, now in five editions: IPWorks ActiveX Edition, IPWorks C++ Edition, IPWorks C++ Builder Edition, IPWorks Delphi Edition, and IPWorks Visual Basic Edition, contains simple high level programmable components, such as interfaces to Internet Mail and Usenet News, as well as powerful TCP/IP programming tools used to build generic clients and servers. All controls have simple yet powerful interfaces that shield developers from the complexity of TCP/IP programming while giving them access to a wide spectrum of Winsock features. Corporate developers will find the features they need to quickly enable their applications to participate in a TCP/IP network without steep learning curves. Internet developers will find fast components with small footprints that provide excellent performance over dialup links.
IPWorks Editions are available immediately for $195 each plus any shipping and handling charges. IPWorks may be downloaded from devSoft's web site at http://www.dev-soft.com/ for free evaluation. Sample applications that demonstrate the capabilities of the controls are also available for free downloading with the package.
