Should I send data via UDP or TCP?

When should I send data via UDP? When should I send data via TCP?

UDP is a very fast transmission where packets are created and sent as rapidly as possible. Packets are sent, but there is no guarantee that they will ever be received. This is especially useful if you are creating streaming applications like video streaming.

TCP connections are slightly slower (often negligible), but ensure that information gets to its destination. You should use a TCP transfer if you want to make sure that no packets are lost.
