SMTP Error: Relaying not allowed

When I try to send email, I get an error like "Relaying not allowed". Why?

SMTP relaying is when a mail server accepts and relays an email sent to a different domain. Most mail servers do not support relaying (to help prevent spam). Those that do often require you to authenticate first (which you can do by specifying the User and Password properties of the component before sending).

Instead of asking for relaying by sending email to a mail server that does not service the recipient, you can send the email to the recipients mail server (if you do not know it, you can discover it with the MX component).
